The Severn Sea artists are a group of seven professional artists who live and work in Portishead, North Somerset. We all live within walking distance of the estuary and each other and our work, which is very diverse, is influenced in one way or another by the Severn Estuary.
The members consist of three painters who are Royal West of England Academicians (Alfred Stockham, Stephen Jacobson, Dawn Sidoli), a ceramicist (Teän Kirby), a painter / ceramicist (Catherine Belohoubek), an applied artist / designer (Janet Haigh) and a wildlife artist (Hilary Kington).
