"Part of my formative childhood was spent in Cumbria overlooking the Solway Firth towards Scotland. Decades later, we are in Portishead overlooking the ‘Severn Sea’ to Wales.

I am truly at home here and hope my painting reflects my feelings for this lovely area in all its moods."

Member of New English Art Club (NEAC) and Royal West of England Academy (RWA). Exhibited regularly at the Royal Academy since 1977.

1988: 1st prize Laing National Painting Competition, Critic's Price NEAC. 2000: Drawing Prize NEAC. 2003: Artistic Excellence Award RWA. 2004: Alresford Gallery Prize NEAC.
